About

A native app studio, on purpose

Yeti Technology is a founder-led studio of mobile product specialists — designers and native engineers who chose depth in one craft over breadth in many.

The studio exists because of a pattern we kept seeing: apps built by capable generalist teams that worked, shipped, and still felt wrong. The gap was never effort. It was specialisation — the platform fluency, interaction judgement, and performance discipline that only come from doing one kind of work, repeatedly, at a high standard.

So we do one kind of work. Native iOS in Swift and SwiftUI. Native Android in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. The UX and interface design that native platforms deserve. Nothing else — no web retainers, no AI side quests, no “we do everything” menu.

We are based in Sydney and work with founders, startups, and established organisations across Australia, with engineering reach extending to Nepal and international clients. The name honours both ranges we call home — and the standard implied by building things meant to endure at altitude.

What we believe about the work

01

Taste is a requirement

Design judgement is not a garnish on engineering — it is half the job. We hire and work like a studio: small, senior, and opinionated about what quality feels like in the hand.

02

The platform is the spec

Apple and Google have spent two decades teaching users how apps should behave. We build with those conventions, not against them, and reserve invention for where the product genuinely needs it.

03

Production is the standard

An app is not done when it demos; it is done when it survives store review, an OS update, a traffic spike, and a hand-off. We build for that definition of done.

04

Candour over comfort

We tell clients when a feature is not worth building, when native is not the right call, and when the problem is not the one they arrived with. It costs us some projects and earns the right ones.

How engagements actually run

You work directly with the senior people doing the design and engineering — there is no account-management layer, and nothing is scoped by someone who will not build it. Engagements start with a short discovery, run in weekly iterations with builds on your own device, and end with a codebase and documentation your own team could inherit. Australian clients get Sydney business hours; international clients get a working rhythm agreed up front rather than discovered by timezone accident.
